MULE DEER HUNTS...

We do have some fun when it comes to mule deer hunting in GMU 22! While we can't guarantee you an animal, we have a 100% success rate with our hunters. We hunt mule deer on both the meadows and on the mountains behind. Our meadow hunting is much different from hunting the mountains but both offer lots of opportunity for a nice buck.

We had another great year hunting mule deer in 2009. We have added several new blinds and elevated stands to even further enhance your hunting experience. Our ranch improvements continue to improve our game base. It has been rewarding to see! And we will continue to make improvements in 2010, including additional water holes and hay meadows!

OUR PROGRAM: All of our mule deer hunts are 4-day hunts. We guide on a 2:1 ratio. Being an all-inclusive hunt, we provide meals, housing and transportation on the ranch. We provide in-field game care and will transport your animal to Meeker to a processor for you.

HOW WE HUNT: To provide you with a great hunting experience, we do not want to pressure the game on our ranch. Therefore, we use any of the following methods to hunt: "spot and stalk" and blinds.

TYPES OF MULE DEER HUNTS AVAILABLE:

ARCHERY:

     Either sex.

     2010 Dates: August 28 - September 26

MUZZLELOADER:

     Buck or doe.

    2010 Dates: September 11 - 19

RIFLE:

    2nd Season: Buck or doe.

                      2010 Dates: October 23 - 31

    3rd Season: Buck or doe.

                      2010 Dates: November 6 - 14

    4th Season: Buck only.

                      2010 Dates: November 17 - 21

COMBINATION HUNTS: Please call for availability and pricing.

LAND OWNER VOUCHERS: Please call for the availability of our land owner vouchers. These are for limited licenses and must be redeemed at license agents or Division of Wildlife offices prior to the first day of that season opening. You still pay the full license fee when redeeming a voucher.

PRICING: All of our 2010 mule deer hunts are $4,000, excluding applicable license/stamp fees. (We include a flat fee of $100 for room/board in the $4,000 hunt fee.)

AVAILABILITY: Please call for hunting date openings. If the hunt you want has been booked and is unavailable for 2010, we can book you for 2011.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY: You are responsible for purchasing all necesary licenses and stamps from the Colorado Division of Wildlife. Please go to www.wildlife.state.co.us for more information.(You must also meet their hunter safety requirements.) In addition, you will need transportation to/from the airport if you are flying in. Craig/Hayden, Eagle and Grand Junction are the closest airports. Upon receiving your deposit and having you sign a contract, we will furnish you with a detailed list of what you will need for your hunt.
