ELK HUNTS...

We are located in the midst of some fun elk hunting country in GMU 22 but you do "hunt" them...this is not a game preserve! Knowing how the herds work their way through the ranch, we can get you onto them, however, patience is the name of the game. They cycle on and off of us, so they come through on their schedule

We have focused on ranch water improvements over the last 2 years in order to generate even more game animal exposure.

OUR PROGRAM: All of our elk hunts are 5-day hunts. We guide on a 2:1 ratio. Our hunts are all-inclusive meaning that we provide housing, meals and transportation on the ranch. We provide in-field game care and transportation of your animal to a processor in Meeker.

HOW WE HUNT: In order to not "push" the elk, the methods that we use to hunt our place include "spot and stalk" and the use of blinds. This helps to better ensure that animals do not react so much to hunter pressure.

TYPES OF ELK HUNTS AVAILABLE:

ARCHERY:

      Unlimited licenses, either sex. Over-the-counter purchase.

      2008 Dates: August 30 - September 28

MUZZLELOADER:

      Limited licenses, either sex. Draw only.

      2008 Dates: September 13 - 21

RIFLE:

     1st Season: Limited licenses, either sex. Draw only.

                      2008 Dates: October 11 - 15

     2nd Season: Unlimited licenses, antlered elk. Over-the-counter purchase.

                       2008 Dates: October 18 - 26

     3rd Season: Unlimited licenses, antlered elk. Over-the-counter purchase.

                      2008 Dates: November 1 - 7

     4th Season: Limited licenses, either sex. Draw only.

                   2008 Dates: November 12 - 16

     **Various cow-only tags are also available during the seasons. Check for availability.

COMBINATION HUNTS: Please call for availability and pricing.



PRICING: All of our elk hunts are $3,500, excluding applicable license/stamp fees.

AVAILABILITY: Please call for hunting date openings. If the hunt you want has been booked and is unavailable for 2008, we can book you for 2009. All hunts are on a first come, first served basis.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY: You are responsible for purchasing all necessary licenses and stamps from the Colorado Division of Wildlife. Please go to www.wildlife.state.co.us for more information.(You must also meet their hunter safety requirements.) In addition, you will need transportation to/from the airport if you are flying. Craig/Hayden, Eagle and Grand Junction are the closest airports. Upon receiving your deposit and having you sign a contract, we will furnish you with a detailed list of what you will need for your hunt.
